-1 game board for each of the following sounds: /R/, /S/, /TH/, /L/,
and /SH,CH,J/ (pages 4-8)
*The game boards contain 20 spaces with Thanksgiving-
related words underneath that contain the target sound.
These words will be used to complete tasks on the task chart.
-Playing cards (say “Move ahead 1/2/3 spaces, Stay where you are,
Go back 1/2/3 space) (page 3
-Articulation Task Chart (page 2)
(see all of this in the preview!)
-Print and laminate 1 copy of the articulation task chart on page 2
-Print, laminate, and cut apart 3 copies of the playing cards on page 3.
-Print and laminate game boards on pages 4-8 -print as many as you need. Each student gets his/her own board. I typically print 3 copies of each sound.
-Give each student his/her own board. If one student is working on the /r/ sound, he gets the /r/ board and if another is working on /s/, he gets the /s/ board.
-Give each student a game piece to move around their board.
-Place the Articulation Task Chart in the middle of the table for all to see. Place the playing cards in a pile in the center of the table, face down.
-The first student draws a card and moves the number of spaces indicated on the card. The student must find the picture he/she landed on on the task chart and complete the task described. For example, if the student landed on the mashed potatoes, he would look at the chart and read his task (say his word 3 times and then ask a question using that word).
-Play continues to the next student, and so on
-The winner is the first player who reaches the cornucopia!
Enjoy! The entire packet can be viewed in the preview so you can see how the game works, exactly what is included, and what words are used before you purchase :)
