Game play follows the rules for "UNO"
Print, cut, and if desired, laminate the cards. Shuffle and deal 7 cards to each player. Place the remaining cards face down, turning over one card to create a discard pile. Players take turns matching the top card of the discard pile by color, number, or action (i.e. skip). If a player doesn’t have a match, he/she draws cards until able to play. A wild card can be played at any time and allows the player to change the color being played. Wild draw 4 cards can only be used if a player isn’t able to play a matching card. This card allows the player to change the color and the person to the left of the player must draw 4 cards. If a player has only one card left, he/she must say, “Uno” before discarding.
For articulation practice, players say the word on the card the number of times indicated. For additional practice, phrases and sentences may be formulated.
**Game may also be used as a language activity reinforcing inferencing, sentence formulation and vocabulary.
