Social Skills Unit:
This Thanksgiving-themed unit is intended for use with elementary students working on social language. There are three activities in this bundle:

Includes 20 Thanksgiving-themed scenarios and 4 blank cards to create your own.

2.) Expected or unexpected?
Includes 24 Thanksgiving-themed scenarios and 3 blank cards to create your own.

3.) Think it or say it?
Includes 20 Thanksgiving-themed scenarios and 4 blank cards to create your own.

School-Age Language Unit:
This unit contains 3 Thanksgiving-themed activities to use with children grades 1-3. Activities target the following skills:

#1. Descriptive Language (pg. 2-5): Contains 24 cards with Thanksgiving-related pictures for children to describe. Includes visual supports to encourage children to talk about appearance, function, composition, and location.

#2. Sentence Building (pg. 6-19): Contains 10 sentences (6-8 words in length each) to cut apart and re-assemble. Each sentence has a Thanksgiving theme and contains both text and picture representations for words.

#3. Answering WH-Questions (pg. 20-29): Contains 12 who, 12 what, 12 where, and 12 when questions related to Thanksgiving. Includes visual supports to help students identify the appropriate response for each question type.

These activities can be used one-on-one or in a group setting. They may be appropriate for older children working on lower-level language skills as well. SymbolStix graphics are used throughout, providing straight-forward picture symbols - great for all students, including those who utilize AAC, are on the autism spectrum, or have cognitive impairments.
