This is a collection of three craft/activities that I use in my Kindergarten classroom during Thanksgiving time.
The first is a Pilgrim and Native American craft. Printouts are included to make a Native American girl, a Native American boy, a Pilgrim girl, and a Pilgrim boy.
The second is a book my students create to celebrate Thanksgiving while working on reading their color words.
On each page, the students color the turkey's feathers to match the words on the pages.
This turkey has red feathers.
This turkey has orange feathers.
This turkey has yellow feathers.
This turkey has green feathers.
This turkey has blue feathers.
This turkey has purple feathers.
This turkey has rainbow feathers.
When finished, the book is tied together with a ribbon. This is a fun keepsake to send home to the parents and a great way for new readers to practice fluency.
The last craft is a turkey with colorful feathers. The students write one thing they are thankful for on each of the feathers. These come out pretty cute and the parents love hanging them up on Thanksgiving.
All templates and step-by-step directions (with pictures) are included for each activity. Please message me if you have any questions. Enjoy!
