Teaching tips:
Cornucopia Craft – Introduce the term cornucopia. Review foods (fruits vs. vegetables) and colors. Have student color, cut out the foods, and glue them into the empty cornucopia. Then, have them finish the Thanksgiving sentence frame “I am thankful for..” using the tracing dots or on their own depending on ability levels.
Cornucopia Award ~ Have students color, fill in the award, and give it to someone they appreciate. 
Craftivity ~ “If I Were a Turkey”: Have students complete the sentence frame. Glue it to the top of a piece of construction paper. Color & cut out the turkey, and glue it so it slightly overlaps their writing piece.
Thanksgiving Turkey Hat ~ Copy each piece on the corresponding color of construction paper. Have students cut out and glue the pieces (one by one) on the turkey hat. Lastly, glue the legs behind so they stick out on the sides of the child’s head. You can staple the turkey body to a sentence strip to complete the headband or cut additional brown strips of construction paper to form the band. (For eyes, either have kids draw them with marker, or use googly eyes.) **Add feathers to the back as a cute addition. 
