This product includes 5 Halloween themed math centers. Each math center has two versions, differentiated. See below for details for each center and download the preview for a closer look.

Math Centers


Dinner Rolls – a differentiated shape spinner activity.
K.G.A.3

Version 1: Students roll the die and name the 2D shape in the dinner roll. Then, they should find that shape on the recording sheet and color it. Continue until all shapes are colored. This version represents six shapes: triangle, rectangle, square, circle, hexagon, and trapezoid.
NOTE: This version also allows for a recording sheet where students draw the 2D shapes instead of coloring them.

Version 2: This activity works the same, but incorporates 3D shapes: sphere, cube, rectangular prism, pyramid, cone, and cylinder.



Feather Tallies – a differentiated tally marks activity.
K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5

Version 1: Students choose a turkey card and read the number. Once they know how many, they find the matching feather tallies card. Then they match the letter on the card to a box on the recording sheet. There they draw the correct number of tally marks.

Version 2: Students choose a turkey card and read the number. Once they know how many, they use the bone cards (or feathers) to build the correct number of tally marks. Then they match the letter on the card to a box on the recording sheet. There they draw the correct number of tally marks.



Mayflower Measure – a differentiated measurement activity.
K.MD.1, K.MD.2

Version 1: Students choose a measurement card and count how many units tall the picture is. Then they match the number on the card to a box on the recording sheet. There they color the correct number of units (so if the cornucopia is 4 units tall, that’s how many units are colored) and write the numeral in the small box.

Version 2: Students choose a measurement card and decide which object is shorter and which is taller. Then they match the letter on the card to a box on the recording sheet. There they color the taller object brown and the shorter object orange.




Pumpkin Pie – differentiated number spinners
K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5

Version 1: Students use a paper clip (or a clear spinner) and spin. Read the numeral it lands on. Then they find a ten frame on the recording sheet and color the pumpkin pie it is in.

Version 2: Students use a paper clip (or a clear spinner) and spin. Identify how many are in the ten frame it lands on. Then they write the numeral for “how many” in a pumpkin pie on the recording sheet.




Thanksgiving Graph - a differentiated graphing activity.
K.CC.A3, K.CC.B.4, K.CC.B.5, K.CC.C.6

Version 1: Students count “how many?” of five different Thanksgiving images in the picture scramble. After counting each one, they color in the number of squares next to that same image on the recording sheet. Counting up to five.

Version 2: Students count “how many?” of five different Thanksgiving images in the picture scramble. After counting each one, they color in the number of squares next to that same image on the recording sheet. Then they answer two questions about more or less using their graph they made. Counting up to eight.
