Fill up your Thanksgiving plate with DIGRAPHS! Use this fun game to practice reading digraph ch, sh, th, wh, and ck words. Works great as a literacy center, intervention group activity, or partner game.
How to Play:
Students take turns reading digraph words cards. Optional game mats are provided to use for each student to organize their accumulating cards into ch,sh,th,wh,ck categories as they play.
If a student gets a Thanksgiving food card, they will read the digraph sound on the card, and then add it to their place setting, collecting as many food cards as they can. This will help to motivate students to continue playing. This part of the game can be left out if you want to play the game with the digraph cards only. You can decide what will work best with your students.
A ”List the Digraphs” recording sheet is also included as an extra activity students can complete if using this as a center game. Students will choose 3-4 of their word cards to write into each category.
