Reinforce letter recognition and letter formation for all upper and lower case letters using a hands-on activity called “Tear and Glue”. In this resource children tear strips of paper to form turkeys, pie, pilgrims, and corn. Then they glue the pieces of paper onto letters. Practice correct letter formation by printing letters pages again and writing letters with short crayons (this promotes a good pencil grasp).

There are four tear and glue activities for children to complete in this resource. Use a pencil box to store each of the activities. Follow these steps:

•CUT out the strips of turkeys, pie, pilgrims, or corn.

•TEAR each strip to make many turkeys, pie, pilgrims, and corn.

•GLUE objects onto the letters to practice recognizing and making letters.
