    Animal Escape: Multi-Step Word Problems

In this game, all of the animals have escaped from the zoo the night before Thanksgiving and are running all around town! It is your job to catch 3 turkeys before the sun comes up! Students answer multi-step word problems. Then, they get to pull out an animal from the bag in the middle. If the animal is a turkey, they get to keep it. If it's a rooster, that means the sun is rising so they have to put all of their turkeys back in the middle and start again! If they get another animal, their turn is over and it's the next person's turn. This game is a hoot to play and the kids love trying to be the first one to get three turkeys! 32 question cards included and answer key.

Let's Build A Turkey: Division Word Problems, 3 Digit by 1 Digit, 4 Digit by 1 Digit: No Remainders Game

Students get to build a turkey while playing a math game at the same time! This games helps fourth graders practice solving division word problems with no remainders. Each time they answer a question, they get to add part of their turkey to their place mat. The first person to build their entire turkey wins the game! 24 question cards and answer key included.

QR Codes: Division Word Problems, 3 Digit by 1 Digit, 4 Digit by 1 Digit: Interpreting Remainders Game

Three messages included! Students solve the division word problems on each card to figure out the answer. Then, they scan the QR code on the card to figure out the "secret letter". They put the "secret letter" on the answer on the mystery phrase page. When all cards are solved, it will spell out a Thanksgiving themed mystery phrase! This game is also great for fourth graders because they get practice deciding what to do when there is a remainder in a word problem. Total, there are 38 questions total!

Thanksgiving Logic Puzzles: 4th Grade Math

This activity is great for enrichment! It is filled with 10 logic puzzles where students have to figure out the missing factors, quotients, and products in each brain teaser. Some brain teasers also include multi-digit addition and subtraction. These logic puzzles are perfect for the Thanksgiving season. Answer keys included.

Line Them Up: 3 Digit by 1 Digit Division: No Remainders Game

Students play in teams to line up the division equations as quickly as possible to win the game. Both teams are given a "start" card that has a Thanksgiving themed division problem on it. Once students figure out the answer, they line that card up under the "start card". Students keep lining up the cards until they reach the finish! Each team has the same questions, but the questions have been given in a different order to avoid peeking eyes from other teams. The best part of this game is that it is self-checking. Students will know if they have gotten the answer correct because all cards will be used at the finish.

    Food Sort: Multiples Game

Fourth graders have to figure out each number is a multiple on each Thanksgiving food in this game. They do this so they can place the Thanksgiving food in the correct basket based on if it is a multiple or is not a multiple. This is a great game to help students practice with multiples.

Thanksgiving Dinner: 4th Grade Geometry Game

This game is used to practice:

-identifying triangles as isosceles, scalene, or equilateral.

-identifying angles in shapes as obtuse, acute, or right

-identifying lines as parallel, perpendicular, or intersecting

    -identifying geometric terms

This game is flexible and students should be able to use whatever method you prefer them to use to solve when playing this game. It's a 2-4 person game where students try to be the first person to fill up their plate for Thanksgiving dinner. Each time a student answers a game card question, they get to take a piece of food to put on their plate. There are also chance cards in the deck that may help a student or put them back a few paces during the game! My students LOVE this game at Thanksgiving each year and enjoy picking out which "foods they will eat" from the middle. The best part is--the students have no idea how much they are learning! This game is a great practice or review game to see who understands a concept you are teaching and who is still struggling with the material. It comes with 48 questions on game cards, 24 chance cards, and an answer key!

Thanksgiving Village: 3 Digit by 1 Digit, 4 Digit by 1 Digit Division Game with Remainders

This Thanksgiving math game is perfect practice for kids who need extra practice with division with remainders. Students lay out the game board and put an object of their choice on the start. They answer a question card. If they get it correct, they get to randomly pull out a circle Thanksgiving card. Based on what they draw out, the "game answer key" tells them if they get to go forward or backwards. Each Thanksgiving themed circle represents a number of spaces they can go forwards or backwards. It's a game of chance based on who answers the most questions correctly AND who draws out the best circles. Answer key included.

Turkey Error Analysis: 2 Digit by 2 Digit Multiplication

This is a great activity for students to practice identifying which answers are correct when multiplying 2 digit by 2 digit numbers and which are incorrect. I like for students to practice this skill in partners because they get more experience with multiplying large numbers. The students place thumbs up fingers next to the turkeys who solved the problems correctly and thumbs down fingers next to the turkeys who did not solve the problems correctly.

Fat Turkeys: Rounding to Any Place Value Game

These turkeys weigh a LOT of pounds! In this game, students match up each turkey with the matching kid card that it rounds to correctly. Students practice rounding to the nearest million, hundred thousand, ten thousand, thousand, hundred, and ten. This is great practice for students who need extra help with rounding.
