The projects in this special holiday packet are designed for children in elementary school (age 5-12).
The easiest project is the Complementary Leaves (best for grades K-3) while the most difficult is the Watercolor Turkey (best for 4th-6th grade). The Watercolor Cornucopia and the Gratitude Feathers are great for all ages.
As with many lessons in Deep Space Sparkle, feel free to use materials that you have on hand. The leaves can be made with colored paper instead of painted paper, the cornucopia can be drawn with markers and colored with colored pencils or even pastels. It’s really up to you. The choices in mediums I selected are the most forgiving for all age groups.
The Four Projects:
Watercolor Turkey: A detailed turkey drawing and watercolor project that uses simple waterproof markers and tray watercolor paints.
Complementary Leaves: Use up your beautiful painted paper and create colorful, detailed leaves to decorate your fall classroom.
Watercolor Cornucopia: An American symbol for abundance, children draw and paint a simple “horn of plenty” and paint with tray or liquid watercolors.
Gratitude Feathers: To help children express gratitude, use the worksheets to select words of gratitude and place on large scale feathers.
