Thanksgiving Harvest Tic-Tac-Toe is a reusable activity that uses cards with graphics of cornucopias and pumpkins as playing pieces. There is a score sheet included for students to record their wins with tally marks. It has spaces provided to help learners organize their tally marks. When they are through playing the game, the spaces make it easier to count the tally marks and determine their final score.
Print and laminate the Tic-Tac-toe Board and playing pieces pages. Cut apart the playing pieces cards.
Print and laminate the score sheet. Students can use dry erase markers to make the page reusable. If you prefer, you can just make copies of the score sheet page. Students can write their tally marks on the page. When they are through playing, they can cut the page up the middle. Each student can keep his or her half of the score sheet.
Using tally marks to count their wins is a fun way to practice counting by fives and ones.
Thanksgiving Tic-Tac-Toe coordinates with the Thanksgiving Addition Practice Packet and Harvest Addition Clothespin Cards available in my TpT store. If you like this activity, please look at the Truck and Tractors Tic-Tac-Toe freebie also available in my TpT store.
