In “El día de Acción de gracias en los Estados Unidos - Thanksgiving in the United States with Pepper the Pooch" Pepper helps students learn how and why Thanksgiving is celebrated in November in the United States of America with some Spanish vocabulary for the holiday. Pepper's pictures are useful visual mnemonics of the main points of the history of Thanksgiving. This package is most suitable for those in grades 1 to 5 (or ages 6 to 10).

The eight-page information booklet is made out of one sheet of paper. The booklet also comes in a newspaper format for older students. The short PowerPoint is an interactive presentation of the booklet that allows students to provide answers before they are shown on the next slide. Also, "I am grateful" sheets are provided for students to write about that for which they are thankful. Pepper has included her paper pumpkin craft which uses orange and green paper (or other colors if you wish) and takes about thirty minutes to make.
