This is a great resource to use in literacy centers for the month of November/during the week of Thanksgiving to help your students practice reading CVC and CVCe words and sorting words based on short vowel word family endings and long vowel with silent e sounds. Students will be practicing reading short vowel words, identifying word families, identifying long vowel sounds and sorting those words into matching categories. They will then also practice reading short and long vowel words in context within sentences. This is a great activity to see if they are making connections when they see the words in context rather than just by itself. Your students will love the Thanksgiving theme to keep literacy centers exciting in the month of November!
Included in the Literacy Center Activities:
-25 CVC word cards + recording sheet (short vowel word families)
-20 CVCe word cards + recording sheet (long vowels with silent e)
