This Thanksgiving themed game is designed to reinforce decoding skills for CVCe words and long vowel words with consonant blends and digraphs.
As students play the game, they will gain confidence in decoding and reading simple words.
There are three sets of cards – one with CVCe words, one with words that have beginning consonant blends, and one with words that have digraphs.
Each set also has special cards with directions such as ‘put all cards back’ or ‘take another turn.’
Included are three Color by the Code sheets for independent practice or a quick formative assessment.
