This is a download for four masks that are easy to make. Just color, cut and glue a tongue depressor. Included is a puppet play. the puppet play goes as follows:
Pilgrim Boy: We have finally landed after six weeks
on the Mayflower. Plymouth Rock is beautiful. Just
as I thought it would be.
Pilgrim Girl: There is plenty of room to set up camp.
I think this area is very nice. The woods are nearby
and the river is up ahead.
Pilgrim Boy: We will have to work hard to set up
camp. Winter is near.
Narrator: Meanwhile on the other side of the forest
Native Am. Boy: I saw a ship come into the harbor
this morning. I wonder who our visitors are.
Native Am. Girl: I hope they are nice. We sure could
use some company around here. It gets so lonely
Native Am. Boy: We should go out there tomorrow and introduce ourselves. They might need help settling in.
Narrator: The next day…
Native Am. Boy: Wow! They sure look different. I wonder
where they came from and why they are here.
Native Am. Girl: Well let’s find out!
Narrator: The Native Americans approach the Pilgrims.
Native Am. Boy: Hello, I am Squanto. Welcome to Plymouth Rock.
Pilgrim Boy: Thank you. My name is John and this is my wife Sara.
Pilgrim Girl: Hello! It is so nice to meet you. We just arrived from England.
Native Am. Girl: I am Moonlight. What brought you here to Plymouth Rock?
Pilgrim Girl: We left England so that we could practice our religion in a way that we feel comfortable doing. So
here we are.
Native Am. Boy: Well, you’ve come to the right place. But I need to warn you winter will be here soon and you need some good shelter. It gets pretty cold here. We will be glad to help you.
