Thanksgiving is almost here! Are you searching for a fun new way for your students to practice identifying sets that have more, fewer and/or same value?
Want a center that is little to no prep but has your little explorers up and about?
This Thanksgiving themed 'math around the room' activity will engage your independent learners and they will have no idea they are practicing counting and examining sets!
This Pack Includes:
*Directions/Suggestions for Use
*8 Picture Cards
*Use as a ‘math around the room’ center by taping the cards around your room. You can also place cards in a basket/bin (or cornucopia) and have students draw a card and
record the answer.
*Students look at the card. They decide if the first set has more, fewer or the same value as the second set. They find the letter on the card and match it to the recording sheet. They circle the word/phrase that matches what the card is about.
*You can also do as a whole group activity. Distribute recording sheets. Pull cards out of a bag and discuss the card/what they see. Then they all record the answer on the recording sheet (can do at desks/tables or on clipboards in a meeting space)
*Fun way to address Common Core Learning Standards
