Description

Your students will love this DIFFERENTIATED Thanksgiving Math Project! Thanksgiving will be here before you you know it, and this 9-page Thanksgiving Math Project is just what you need to keep your students engaged BEFORE and AFTER the Thanksgiving holiday!

This isn't your average plan-the-meal project! This is the original, best-selling Thanksgiving Dinner Digits project that is well-loved by teachers. It has been classroom-tested and tweaked in my own classroom for over 10 years and in thousands of classrooms around the world!

What's included in this Thanksgiving Math Project?

  • Printable Student Project
  • DIGITAL version in Google Slides
  • METRIC version of both the printable and digital projects

Thanksgiving Dinner Digits engages students in planning their very own Thanksgiving dinner, timing things just right, picking out their side dishes, calculating nutritional information, buying just the right-sized turkey, graphing class meals, arranging seats just so, and more! This feast is non-stop fun!

This project puts a heavy emphasis on basic operation review, problem-solving, and multi-step work. Students will need to be able to Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Divide. There is also brief work in elapsed time, graphing, and data. This is the perfect time of year to be sure your students are SOLID in these skills!

Differentiation: I have differentiated the project with whole numbers and decimals so that you can differentiate within your classroom, too!

ALL of the pages involve student choice, creating incredible student buy-in. For this reason, there is no answer key included. I have included some tips at the beginning of the packet to help this project run smoothly.

*JUST PRINT!* Everything you need is here, and you need no additional supplies. I have also included a cover page to make this a personal project for each student.

You can use this Thanksgiving Math Activity individually, in partners, while working in centers, as a whole class, etc.

*Grades 4-7 with Differentiation Options
