Prepare for a Thanksgiving math feast with these qualitative proportion task cards! Students use traditional holiday food ingredients and determine if the ratio used in the recipe will result in a proportional value to the original recipe in this math center. Qualitative proportional reasoning activities are difficult to find, so you will want to download this fun and seasonally relevant activity for your middle school math class.
This resource has been updated for the 2017 holiday season!
For each task card, students will use proportional reasoning to determine if the ingredients are used in balance. For example--are these mashed potatoes too runny or too lumpy?--based on the amount of potatoes and milk added to the recipe.
Check out the preview to see everything included!
All cards are provided in color and in black and white to suit your printing preferences.
