Numbers are represented in various ways! Thanksgiving Numbers: Counting and Cardinality will give students practice in order to master numbers by understanding the different ways to represent them, as well as counting from 1-10. This math center and activity set, which is aligned with the Common Core State Standards, gives students practice in counting, ordering numbers, understanding the relationship between numbers and quantities, number words, and tally marks.
This set also includes generic themed activities in addition to the Thanksgiving theme in order to be used at any time throughout the school year. Differentiated activities in this set also allow you to reach all learners.
-2 math mats with number cards where students order numbers 1-10 while matching the digit to its number word and tally mark set that matches.
- 3 cut and paste activity sheet sets (1 thanksgiving theme, 1 monster theme, 1 lower level set for students still struggling with number ID and one-to-one correspondence)
- Mini-book (2 variations)-students complete the activities and staple the pages together to create an All About Numbers mini-book-the 1st variation has students write the correct digit in a number organizer according to the data given and the 2nd variation has students write data into the organizer to match the number given. The data includes word form, set of objects, missing number in a series, and tally marks.
