Thanksgiving opinion writing. This is an adapted work to practice identifying likes and dislikes, while working on beginning writing skills and sentences structure. The book has 14 pages. The student will match the corresponding words to the sentence strip, creating opinion sentences with ease. (Ex: I don't like to eat turkey.)
After students finish writing the book I like to have them practice copying down the sentences they have made.
This is a great way to have students work on forming their own opinions, especially for students with minimal verbal skills, as well as getting students to use proper sentence structure.
14 page book
turkey, green bean casserole, yams, cranberry sauce, rolls, pie, pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, salad, cornbread, baked potato, gravy, and stuffing.
writing worksheet- to copy down the sentences they created.

I use this in conjunction with my: I like... I don't like... to eat... 2 adapted book. Each book has 7 different foods, my students love having access to both books for the increased variety.
