---Thanksgiving by Kate Seymour Maclean,
---Thanksgiving by Ella Wheeler Wilcox,
---A Thanksgiving Poem by Paul Laurence Dunbar,
---The Thanksgivings translated from a traditional Iroquois song
by Harriet Maxwell Converse,and
---Thanksgiving Song by Thornton W. Burgess
Each poem is followed by 3-14 questions about
---figures of speech, and
Students are asked to identify, paraphrase and in one case, compose an original stanza.
This is a great holiday activity that can be completed individually or in small groups.
Great for enhancing any discussion of poetry or the themes of Thanksgiving.
