PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students read 2 short passages on Thanksgiving, one on the first Thanksgiving and the other on how Thanksgiving became a national holiday. They then answer 10 questions of varying academic and creative natures. This would be great for a sub!

Sample questions include:
--Inferring from the text, how was life different for Pilgrims in America than in England?
--Describe the circumstances under which the first Thanksgiving came to be.
--Would you rather have been Indian or Pilgrim at the first Thanksgiving and why?
--Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions? What is your favorite tradition and why? (your answer can not be having a few days off of school)

A limited answer key is included because almost all answers will depend on the students' interpretations/conclusions/prior knowledge/opinions.
