Description
A creative writing project with a Thanksgiving theme, appropriate for Middle and High School students. Great for that short week, seasonal, and still includes English concepts such as tone, organization, and rhyme scheme. Technically, a rap is a rhyme, but some students seem to find one more appealing.
A fun, creative project that has students make a Thanksgiving rap or rhyme. Includes several choices for their project as well as grading. Grading includes use of tone and organization. Includes self-reflection.
This project can be completed on poster board with images or drawings. Great for posting in the hall to share with other students. (See student samples at the end which was a cross curricular rhyme using History topics. Students would stop in the hall to read the rhymes!) Project could also be created as a PowerPoint, Prezi or other digital presentation.
