PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This product is great if you are covering using detail in your student's writing. This product encourages adding detail by letting the students use their 5 senses to describe Thanksgiving.

If you have a long time for writing workshop, I would suggest writing the “story” about Thanksgiving using the students 5 senses. This will give the students more time to add detail to their writing. If you have a shorter time, I know my kids really love to write the poem using their 5 senses. It is only one sentence per sense, but the kids start understanding what I mean when I say add detail.

In this product, you will find a planning sheet to get the kids to start thinking of Thanksgiving in terms of senses. You will also find a pre-writing sheet for the “story” as well as the poem. You will also find multiple final copy pages with fun pictures so you can pick the best page for your class or let the kids pick.

Thank you so much for purchasing my product. I hope you enjoy it!
