Description
Are you looking for the perfect activity to keep your students engaged before the Thanksgiving holiday? This fun Thanksgiving table STEM challenge will capture your students’ energy and attention.
In the Thanksgiving table STEM challenge, students are tasked with building a table to accommodate extra guests at their Thanksgiving dinner. Using whatever building materials are readily available (clean recyclables, wooden blocks, paper, craft supplies, etc.), students must design and build a table that stands at least 8 inches off the ground. Then they will test the strength of their table by stacking books on top. You can add an extra layer of excitement by taping the included Thanksgiving food images to the books and calling out each of the dishes as they are piled on the table. If their table meets the height criteria and holds all the Thanksgiving dishes, they will save Thanksgiving dinner!
Grab this Thanksgiving STEM project today so you can take a break from planning and know your students will still be learning and having fun as you count down to the long weekend!
