This is a download for 5 addition books that are fun and entertaining for students. Print them out, laminate and you can punch a hole together at the side or the top and add rings to make 5 books
Each book is based on a rhyme. The rhyme repeats itself adding one more each time until 5. I've used these books in my classroom when intorducing addition to kids and they love them.
The rhymes go as follows:
1 little Native hunting in the woods, spots 1 little Native and there he just stood. They got together
under the big tree. So if you add them all together, how many will there be?
3 little Pilgrims ready to celebrate, saw 2 little Pilgrims on this holiday. They all baked a pie. Hooray, horray!
So how many pies are there all together on this special day?
4 little Native Girls picking ears of corn, asked 3 little Native Girls to help without a groan. Together they
picked corn for their special day. What’s the total of Native Girls who helped their special way.
6 Pilgrim Boy dressed up and ready to go, met 4 Pilgrim Boys and all walked through the door. They all had fun on
Thanksgiving Day. What’s the sum of Pilgrims that enjoyed this very special day?
9 little turkeys hiding during the holiday season, hear a loud noise and run for a very good reason. They meet
5 turkeys hiding in the brush. How many little turkeys try to avoid the holiday rush?
Each book includes numbers 1-10 and add up to 5.
Each book is 10 pages long.
