Google Classroom has opened up new possibilities for you which open your classroom up to powerful, new lesson features that embed multimedia and video content directly into your quizzes and classroom activities. Also awesome, these ready-to-go activities can be uploaded to your google drive in only 1 click of a button.

Perhaps the most exciting possibility is that these lessons are self-graded. That's right, not only are these lessons/assessments no-prep, they're is no post-work too!, Equally cool, you can now feel good about joining, or continuing to be part of, the growing list of educators with a light footprint on the environment.

This year, go green and let Google's powerful engine do the grading for you so you can focus on the important things in life like getting ready for the weekend.

Objective: Ascertain what your students have retained so far this year to see where they stand while empowering you with the information of what standards/concepts may need future reviewing.

Helpful Tips:

1. This assessment was created in Google Forms. Google Forms works seamlessly with Google Classroom. After you click on the link product in the product download, the assessment will be automatically generated and will reside in your main google drive folder (the homepage, drive.google.com). When in Google Classroom, simply navigate to the main folder and assign one, two, or all three of the units for your students.

2. The assessment can be completed by your students either in whole group instruction, on their own time in a self-guided manner. It can even be assigned as homework, which can then be turned in digitally, if your students have access to the shared Google Classroom account from home. After your students complete the activity, Google will automatically collect the grades after it is complete If assigned from Google Classroom, you can go into the assignment's main page and be one click away from importing all the grades that have been collected directly into your account.

3. The short assessment and the embedded video that go with it can be viewed either on a smartphone or on a desktop computer if you want your students to perform the task on their own time as access to technology permits.

4. You can edit the quiz in any way you like. That's the nature of the type of quiz it is. We don't think you'll want to, as the quiz is really quite fun as it is, but at least always have that option. As long as you don't resell the edited quiz or redistribute it outside of your classroom, you are free to manipulate it any which way you'd like!

Question Selection/Composition:

I was very careful to do my research before composing these questions. Based on what I learned, I was able to tell which topics were most likely covered by the majority of teachers.and in the most states so that your students aren't likely being tested on concepts they haven't yet encountered

But to be extra cautious, I broke up the digital quiz into 3 units so that you can only assign to Google Classroom only units that you have already covered. For example, if one of the units happens to be bit ahead of where your class is at the moment, you'll still have 2 additional units to enjoy!

Lastly, please feel free to write to me at ben@numberock.com, or send an e-mail to my partner/wife at lexi@numberock.com to let us know how these assessments worked for you!
