Product Description
This resource is aligned to Common Core math standard 2.NBT.4 {compare 2 three-digit numbers based on meanings of the hundreds, tens and ones digits using <, > or = to record the results of comparisons}.

This Thanksgiving-themed resource provides students with 2 engaging activities to practice comparing 3-digit numbers using < and >.

In Spin & Compare, students are dealt turkey number cards. Students flip over their top card then spin a spinner. If the spinner lands on greater than, the student with the highest number collects the cards. If the spinner lands on less than, the student with the lowest number collects the cards. Play continues until one student has all of the cards and wins.

In the Comparing Numbers Challenge, students take turns drawing a card and deciding where to place the number on their activity mat. Two mats are included (arrange numbers from least to greatest and arrange numbers from greatest to least). Once students record a number on their mat, it cannot be erased until the end of the game. As play continues, students can only record numbers in the empty boxes on the mat IF the numbers fit in the number order sequence! The first player to correctly fill in all 4 boxes wins!

This resource includes teacher directions/ideas for use, student directions, a spinner, 60 Thanksgiving-themed game cards, a number comparisons anchor chart and activity mats. These activities are great for small group math instruction or in math centers!
