This is a great Thanksgiving activity for primary students to learn about sequencing and planning a Thanksgiving dinner. Students will pretend to go through the motions of creating a Thanksgiving dinner. Students enjoy sharing these with families and friends at Thanksgiving, and parents and families enjoy reading these hilarious recipes!
Students will plan:
-A dinner menu (A great place to add a food pyramid lesson! Food pyramid not included)
-Buying food (Students plan where they will get their food, as well as grabbing a cart, basket, or carrying!)
-Creating a shopping list and estimating the cost of the bill.
-Measuring tool diagram (A great place to add measuring activities!)
-2 Thanksgiving turkey recipe templates.
-Printable Chef Hat
-My Thanksgiving Dinner Booklet Cover
-Sequencing Site Word Cards: First, Next, Then, Last, Recipe, Thanksgiving (In a Thanksgiving Theme)
**This booklet can be used to really explore measuring, cost of food, and nutrition, or it can be modified for a quicker version, for students to use their own background knowledge to create hilarious recipes!
