Help students appreciate all acts of kindness - both big and small. This Thankful for Kindness resource will help students identify times when others have shown them kindness, how it made them feel, and then give thanks by writing that person a note. There are two options included so that one can be completed in class and given to peers and another can be taken home and given to family or community members as gifts for Thanksgiving.

This Thankfulness for Kindness Resource includes:

1. Guided Writing Prompts. Students work through the given prompts to identify a time when kindness was shown to them, explain why the act was kind, and then explain how it made them feel. Two versions are included - one about acts of kindness in the classroom and the other about acts of kindness in the home or in their community.

2. Writing Pages. After completing the writing prompts, students write a thank you note to the person who showed them kindness to thank them. Multiple versions are included - full length lined pages, half lined pages, and pages with space for both writing and drawing. Choose the pages that are most appropriate for your students or allow them to choose which to complete.

3. Note Cards. Rather than the full pages, students can use the cards to write their thank you notes. These can be copied front to back to look like postcards or copied single sided for students to complete with their own artwork.

4. Quote Posters. Four posters (with two sizes) are included that can be posted in the classroom or given to students for their notebooks.
