: Quirky Turkey- A Thanksgiving writing, art, and following directions activity
Your kids are going to love this fun Thanksgiving activity. It could actually be used any time during the fall season.
This creative turkey activity allows students to be creative in an artsy way and in their writing, all while they are following written directions.
Students are given a blank turkey outline. They will follow the written directions to create their "Quirky Turkey"..... wow... they even learn a new vocabulary word too. (Quirky- strange, unusual).
Even though the kids are following directions and the turkeys will be similar, there will be many differences depending on the colors they choose and they extra details they decide to add when they finish off their turkey.
After creating their turkey, students can use the writing paper to write about "How the Turkey became so Quirky...." (Those should be fun and interesting stories!!!)
These will look so neat hanging on a bulletin board or out in the hallway.
