Thanksgiving Writing + Math Lessons + Activities

Description
Oh no! James the Turkey was thrown out of the sky when he lost visibility in a blizzard! Luckily, he landed in the Carnivora Family’s yard, and they have taken him in. With food getting low and the blizzard keeping everyone cooped up, it’s looking like James may unfortunately be tonight’s dinner.
Using multiple reading and writing activities, students learn all about James’ dilemma and then choose how James’ story ends! Finally, they wrap it all up by creating a Turkey Glyph that incorporates their stories and some multiplication practice!
Students can even e-mail James the Turkey with a working e-mail address (that responds to them)!
This mini-unit is perfect for upper elementary students during the day or two before Thanksgiving! It will keep your learners engaged while providing them with something fun and different!
