This mini-pack has three different writing activities for students to share what they are thankful for at Thanksgiving.
The first activity is a simple prompt to draw a picture and write "I am thankful for..."
The second activity is a leaf template to make a large "thankful tree" in the classroom. One set of leaves has an "I'm thankful for..." prompt while the other set is blank. The leaves can be printed on colorful card stock (or on white card stock for students to color their own). Then students write one thing they are thankful for on the leaf. Combine all of the leaves together for a classroom display that's full of gratitude!
The third activity is a set of 4 small cards in a friendly-letter format that will allow students to say "thank you" to the important people in their lives. Students are prompted to write the date, "Dear _____," "I am thankful for you because ________," and the closing. These cards can be printed on card stock for greater durability, or they can be mounted on colorful construction paper for a pop of color.
I hope that you and your learners enjoy these Thanksgiving-themed writing prompts. If you have any questions, please contact me!
