This is designed for your high school or middle school class the week of Thanksgiving!

The day before thanksgiving break can be chaotic. In my case, it's the pep rally, so some classes might not meet, and those that do often have absent students (cheerleaders, athletes), and then to top it off, we are usually on the reduced class time schedule!

That day is not the day to try to prepare kids for tests, present new material, or do any activities of great importance in pedagogy.

Gobble Gobble Zzzz is a science themed activity in which students read about tryptophan and turkey and come to their own conclusions as to whether or not they think that tryptophan really does cause that post-thanksgiving-meal coma! Graphing, analysis questions, and conclusion.

Happy Thanksgiving!
