“Shared Reading, Interactive Charts for Thanksgiving!”
Included are 4 different pocket chart poems. Rereading these charts will help your students with fluency and retelling stories. They are great fun to use as a lesson and then keep up for a center activity. There are so many ways that you can teach off of each chart.
-I know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie -Read this fun book and then reread the pocket chart, your students will want to read this pocket chart again and again. Students can practice retelling this fun story. Then your students will have their own book to color, sequence and read. This comes in black and white and a colored copy.
-Albuquerque the Turkey –After reading this pocket chart poem your students can think of what they would like to eat instead of turkey. Add these ideas to the chart and reread for more practice.
-A Pilgrim Poem-This pocket chart poem comes with a mini book for your students to color and read. This also comes with a writing activity called- If I sailed on the Mayflower.
-Thanksgiving Day-This poem is about five little turkeys and how they need to run away before Thanksgiving Day! Students can come up with other verbs for their turkey and then reread the chart again. A verb and Noun sorting activity also included along with a worksheet on identifying verbs.
-Digraph turkeys are also included. Students match the feathers to the correct digraph turkey. A sorting activity and worksheet are also included.
