A Thanksgiving themed activity for students learning to combine like terms. This activity is also ideal for a review for students who have already taken Algebra I. Students refine their skills dealing with slope but also their inductive reasoning skills, as the pieces will only work out in one manner.
This product is a freebie version of our Thanksgiving Combining Like Terms. It contains three different puzzles with a varying amount of graphics for differentiation. The puzzles differ in how the graphics are depicted, not in the individual problems. One version contain 4 graphics, making it easier to construct the puzzle.. The second contains nine graphics, increasing the difficulty. Finally in the third version, the graphics are found on the individual pieces, and therefore will not aid in the students putting together the puzzle. You can easily differentiate amongst ability groups with the different puzzles. Our full versions of the product contain nine versions Roman numerals are also included in the middle of the pieces so that a teacher can quickly check if the student is correct.
Your purchase includes a PDF file of the puzzles. Although it isn't necessary for use, it is recommended you print the puzzle on cardstock and have it laminated prior to cutting it out so it can last for years to come.
