In this game, students will add and subtract polynomials for a chance to pick a "life" card. Their "life" card describes a situation that students are likely to encounter and places a point value (positive or negative!) depending on that situation! Students in groups of 3 take turns playing referee and answering questions, so the game is self-checking without cheating! Students record their points on the sheet provided, and the one with the most points wins! This game is a great way to motivate students to practice adding and subtracting polynomials, and it's self-checking, which is great for you! Directions and suggestions are included--see preview for a more detailed description!
