What educators are saying

A cute little poem for the 100th day. My students liked moving the pieces around and then using the printable to make their own "custom" poem.
My students enjoyed making and sharing 100th Day Poems. Great resource. Kept students really engaged

Description

This is a fun, interactive poem for the 100th Day of School!

To prep, print the poem pieces (pages 2 and 3) on cardstock and laminate. I put magnets on the back and stuck it to my whiteboard but you could also put them pieces in a pocket chart.

Introduce the poem to the class on your 100th day of school.

Have students come up with their own ideas whenever possible.

I convert page 4 into a SMARTNotebook file (you can see how to do that by clicking here) and fill in the poem whole group with new ideas every day for that week as my shared reading activity.

Then I leave the poem pieces out during literacy centres so that they can create their own poems and also leave copies of the recording sheet out (page 5) so that students can record their ideas.

I hope you and your students love this poem! It is one of my favourite 100th day activities!

See it in action on my blog here.
