Looking for a spooky activity for Halloween? Then this is it! This is an interactive language companion packet based on the book: The 13 Nights of Halloween, by Guy Vasilovich. Included in this packet are activities that target sequencing, story retell, basic language concepts, following directions, and more. The activities in this packet were created by Mindy Stenger, M.A., CCC-SLP (The Speech Bucket
Pages 2 - 3 target story sequencing and retell. Please note: I changed three characters in the story to better suit my younger students (instead of “corpses caroling” I use “Zombies Caroling”; instead of “Marching Maniacs” I use “Marching Skeletons”; and instead of “Dancing Demons” I use “Dancing Dragons”).
Pages 4 – 5 target picture identification and “shadow” matching by identifying the picture and matching it to its shadow.
Pages 6 – 7 target sound/word recognition by identifying the picture and matching it to its printed name.
Pages 8 – 10 target expressive language through writing prompts and drawing.
Pages 11 – 12 target articulation (at the syllable and single word levels) using “baseball bat” articulation!
This is a quick and easy Halloween set to pull out for a SPOOKTACULAR speech session! My students love it! For more Halloween activities visit my blog: The Speech Bucket
