PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a great group activity to use as a formative or summative assessment exercise. The students are given a document with 17 statements about the "Roaring Twenties" and are given the following instructions: "In your group, read the statement you were given. Based on your knowledge of this era (acquired via classroom discussion, notes, activities, video clips, etc.) determine whether the statement about 1920s America is True or False, and explain in sentence form why that’s so. You need to come to this determination by discussing your thoughts with your partners and searching applicable texts and notes."

My students had some great discussions during this activity and I really make them think and provide me with a detailed justification.
