Hello Literacy

I created these posters as a result of trying to be as transparent with students as possible when teaching them what and why they were learning what they were learning. I think it's important that students know why they are learning something, it's the value added layer that makes them put in the extra effort, or for some, the initial effort.

To read more about how I introduced these to students, read my blog post about it here.

If you are someone responsible for teaching ELA, specifically, Reading Comprehension, Phonics, Fluency, Writing, Speaking & Listening, Language or Vocabulary, then I believe these posters will help you explain ELA to your students.

There are three sets included in this bundle. Each includes 7 cards (intended to be printed on 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock, laminated, taught and then added to your wall as an anchor for learning). One set includes each area with a student-friendly definition geared for grades 3-12. Another set includes each area with a student-friendly definition geared for grades K-2. And another set includes just the area of literacy with no definitions.

If you have any questions prior to purchasing, please utilize the "Ask a Question" tab above.

This product is ideal for teaching ELA included in the Common Core, but can used in a non-Common Core classroom as well.
