In assigned groups, students will closely examine a character from the novel. Students will not only note physical descriptions of the characters, but important quotes that reveal aspects of character. Students will develop meaningful symbols to associate with the characters as well. The final product is a life-sized "body biography" of the character. In each body part, a quote or symbol is depicted to express an aspect of character. For example, the Achilles Heel should contain a weakness.
Students will need large sheets of paper to complete this assignment.
