Product Description

This movie guide was designed to accompany the 1993 film adaptation of The Adventures of Huck Finn starring Elijah Wood. One of the things my students and I always do when watching a film is look for those things which are different from the original text. The Adventures of Huck Finn, directed by Stephen Sommers, has many characters and events that have changed from the original text of the novel by Mark Twain. This activity provides you and your students a way to locate some of those differences by completing a chart exploring some changes and the possible reasons for them. A key is provided.

There is also a small group discussion activity that follows the chart activity. This encourages students to explore their own opinions about the filmmaker’s decision to make those changes.
