This 16-slide power point presentation is an overview of the Age of Absolutism in Europe from the 16th to 18th centuries. The presentation begins with an overview of what constitutes an absolute monarch and then explores the reasons it evolved in Europe as well as the positive and negative consequences of the absolute monarchs. The presentation also provides an introduction to the various absolute monarchs of Europe during this period including Phillip II in Spain, Louis XIV in France, and the resistance to absolutism in England (English Civil War, Glorious Revolution, etc...).
