This is a year long project. The objective of this journal is to develop a sense of responsibility in one’s role as a learner by explaining algebraic operations. Completing the requested work will provide the student with an invaluable “critical thinking” tool that contains the foundation of algebraic thought. The basics of Algebra 2 theory are presented in this journal including matrices, solving a 3x3 system of equations, inequalities, systems of inequalities and their graphs, complex number theory, basic trigonometry theory, and others.
I hope you find this journal to be an important tool for classroom instruction and a valuable experience for each student. An answer guide is not provided since it will be the teacher’s responsibility to determine whether each student has written adequate detail in explaining their writings. A sample student entry page is provided free.
