The Alphabet Rap
This is a rap that a colleague of mine has used for years with her struggling students. It really helps them to identify the letter sounds. She adds actions for each one as well. (I don’t know where the original came from.)
I have updated it and added some colorful clipart.
It folds into a booklet for the children to use.
When printing this booklet, there are a few things to watch out for.
if you are printing on one side, when you make a two sided copy, it is important to make sure that one side of the page is flipped upside down so that when the booklet is folded and stapled, the pages are in order.
If you are printing a 2 sided copy, use the version for 2 sided printing as the pages have already been flipped.
You might want to print only a few pages at a time as the order can get skewed if some pages stick together. (I found this out when doing trial printing. It led to lots of wasted sheets and ink. I ended up doing about 4 sheets at a time to avoid this. However, I have lots of copies of the booklet now.)
