PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This power point was designed to go along with guided note packets for 8-10 weeks of learning about the American Civil War. The power point features animation, as well as bell work and tickets out the door per class period. The slides begin with discovering the differences between the North and South, sectionalism, state rights and slavery. Students will cover the Missouri compromise, the Compromise of 1850, the Fugitive Slave Act, Uncle Tom's Cabin, the Dred Scott Court case, Bleeding Kansas and the formation of the Republican Party - the power point was designed to follow guided notes and words that need to be written by students are bolded and in a different font. Students learn about the election of Lincoln and the effects as well as 2-3 weeks learning about the Battles of the Civil War: Fort Sumter, Bull Run, Seven Days, Vicksburg, the Capture of New Orleans, Pea Ridge, Antietam, Sherman's March and Gettysburg (4 days). The powe rpoint is in depth and very visual.
