Was the Industrial Revolution good for American society? Students will investigate whether all of the gadgets and jobs were worth the backbreaking labor and the hazy, polluted air filling their neighborhoods. The product is seven pages and includes an entrance ticket, a HardCORE History Investigation utilizing primary and secondary sources, and concludes with an exit ticket. Included are answer keys and a rubric to grade the exit ticket. This particular lesson asks students to consider how credible their textbook is and what information from the textbook we should use in our own analysis of historical events like the Industrial Revolution in America.
