You and your students will love the time you spend on this project! Kids will love making choices about their work product as well as the combination of art and content. Even the entry letters can be colored!
You will love the no-prep, ready-to-go format AND your option of editing entries to reflect the concepts you’ve covered in your own class.
Using the alphabet as a guide, this project requires one entry per letter. For each entry, students will write 2 to 3 sentences which provide an explanation or definition of the entry’s significance to the American Revolution.
For at least 10 of the entries, students will include an original visual (political cartoon, diagram, sketch, or drawing.
You have three different formats from which to choose:
4-to-a-page (2 x 2)
4-to-a-page (1 x 4)
2-to-a-page (1 x 2)
I’ve included student directions, a cover sheet, and a rubric that will assist in grading and help students get the most from the project. Explicit directions for use are included.
