Are you teaching your students about the atmosphere? Do you feel like some of your students need extra support? Do you feel like some of your students need more of a challenge?
These reading passages are perfect for you!
There are 14 reading passages along with extra support slides with diagrams and extra information. The reading passages include links to each other, so if a student is reading about the atmosphere and has a question about weather, she can click the link to transfer to the weather passage.
Each of the reading passages also has a sound link at the top. This link will not work with the .pdf file, but the .pdf has a link to a Microsoft OneDrive PowerPoint file. The links will work on the PowerPoint, and (if you need to) you can edit within the PowerPoint file as well. Just a heads up that the links will not work if you download the file onto Google Drive.
Also included with the reading passages are 50 questions for students to answer to show their learning. The questions are clumped together for use on the computer, or broken down by topic for your convenience when printing. You, of course, can also write your own questions. All answers to the questions are provided.
Radiation from the Sun
The Greenhouse Effect
The Carbon Cycle
There are also support pages on:
Gases in the Atmosphere
The Aurora borealis
Plant Cell Organelles
Animal Cell Organelles
This set is perfect for personalized learning because kids can move through the topics in any way they choose. It is also valuable because it shows them just how interconnected the science topics are.
